The Adachi Fund

The Adachi Fund is a vital media project aimed at illuminating the timely stories and unseen perspectives of the criminal legal system through seminal documentary film, videos, and photojournalism. The Fund was created to honor the legacy of the late Jeff Adachi, San Francisco’s Public Defender from 2003 to 2019, and his unrelenting effort to spotlight the human impact of “justice” on our communities, as both an attorney and an award-winning documentary filmmaker. It will launch in Summer 2020, pending final approval by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.
