Initial Setup Directions

Step 1: Download AnyConnect (WinOS) and Staff Shortcuts (WinOS) from above. They both should download as zipped file. Go to the folder where it downloaded it to, right click on the anyconnect-win-4.6.00362-core-vpn-predeploy-k9.zip and select Extract All.

Step 2: A new window will appear, select Extract.

Step 3: A new window will appear with the software. Double click the software to launch the installation.

Step 4: When the installer opens up, click Next.

Step 5: Click Next.

Step 6: Click Install.

Step 8: Once the program completes the installation, select Finish.

Step 9: Click on the Windows home button and look for Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility under Most Used. If it is not there, in the search bar at the very bottom, type in Cisco AnyConnect and it should appear.

Step 10: A window will popup with a blank field. Enter in https://200P-VPN1.SFGOV.ORG and click Connect.

Step 11: A window will appear asking for login credentials. Use your City email as your Username: and your City email password as the Password:.

Step 12: If the credentials are correct, a new window will appear saying You are connected to the [ ] Group, click Accept.

Step 13: After you click Accept, a Windows notification window will let you know that you are connected.

Step 14: Go back to your Downloads folder and right-click on the Wireless-Staff-Access-Shortcuts.zip and select Extract all.

Step 15: Click Extract.

Step 16: Go to the extracted folder called Wireless Staff Access Shortcuts, inside is another folder, right-click and select Copy.

Step 17: Right-click anywhere on the Desktop, and select Paste.

Step 18: You should have a folder on the desktop called Wireless Staff Access Shortcuts. Open it and double click on Open Cases.

Step 19: It will ask you for login credentials. Enter the following:

Username: pubdef\[first name initial][full last name] (If your name is John Smith, your username will be jsmith.)

Password: [Your computer login password]

Make sure you check “Remember my credentials at next logon” so you don’t have to repeatedly enter your login information.

Step 20: Repeat Step 19 for PDR Closed Cases, Inbox, and etc.

Connecting to VPN

Step 1: In the Taskbar, look for the Cisco AnyConnect client. If you do not see it, you may have to click the expand arrow. Double click the icon.

Step 2: The server information should be saved, click Connect.

Step 3: A window will appear asking for login credentials. Use your City email as your Username: and your City email password as the Password:.

Step 4: If the credentials are correct, a new window will appear saying You are connected to the [ ] Group, click Accept.

Step 5: After you click Accept, a Windows notification window will let you know that you are connected.

Step 6: When you are done, please disconnect. Directions are below.

Disconnecting When Done

NOTE: It is very important that you properly disconnect the VPN when you are finished using it. If you don’t, the VPN will stop working and you will have to restart your computer before it will work again.

Step 1: In the Taskbar, look for the Cisco AnyConnect client. If you do not see it, you may have to click the expand arrow.

Step 2: Right click and select Discconnect.
