Launch the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client
In the Windows Search, type in Cisco and look for Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client. If no app appears with that name, most likely the client is not installed. Please visit https://sfpublicdefender.org/wireless to find directions on how to install it.
Connect To VPN
A pop-up window should appear asking you to connect. Typically it will save the last connection, but if happens to be blank, enter: https://200P-VPN1.SFGOV.ORG. Then click Connect.
Another pop-up will appear asking for username and password. Refer to the sheet you were given at orientation that includes the username and password. Use only the one listed for you. And do not share your account details with anyone else.
Upon successful connection, you should see another pop-up that says “You are connected to the VPN_PDR-APPS Group.” If you get an error message, please email IT at PUBDEF-IT@sfgov.org. You may get another box requesting you accept the terms and conditions.
Once you are connected, you will be able to access office resources. Download the intern shortcuts from https://sfpublicdefender.org/wireless. When you open the Intern-Inbox, you’ll be prompted to enter another set of credentials. These are slightly different than #SFWiFI login credentials. Please refer to the same sheet you received at orientation. You can also click “Remember my credentials” so you do not have to enter it every time.
When You Are Done
It is important to disconnect when you are done. To disconnect, go the Cisco icon in the System Tray, right click and select Disconnect.
