The Public Defender’s Office is facing a $1.6 million shortfall. The office and the 29,000 people it represents each year need your support.

How You Can Help

• WRITE OR CALL the Board of Supervisors to urge them to restore the Public Defender’s budget. A sample letter and contact information are available below.
• ATTEND the Board of Supervisors vote to restore the Public Defender’s budget on July 21, 2:00 p.m., City Hall, Room 250. If you have a Public Defender t-shirt, please wear it. If you do not, meet us on the Polk Street steps of City Hall at 1:40 p.m. to receive one.
